Objective : The two years Distance
Learning Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Insurance Business
conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been
designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of
experts in the fields of insurance business, regulations,
corporate procedures, life insurance and general insurance,
products and services besides regulatory measures for
controlling insurance business.
Career in Insurance Business
There are enormous opportunities in the
areas of actuarial sciences as well as of insurance business
viewing the fact that many national as well as international
companies related to insurance business have been
established with the central monitoring from the Insurance
Regulatory Authority of India (IRDA). It is in fitness of
things that graduates and post graduates are produced with
expert knowledge of these subjects for managing different
facets of insurance business.
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline Duration
: Two years
Award : Master of Science with specialisation in
Insurance Business shall be awarded to all the successful
candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland.
Examination Centers : Annual / Semester Examinations
are conducted for all the admitted students every year at different Examination Centres
within the State of Nagaland (Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha) only.
Total Fee : Rs. 24,125
Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with
four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark
sheets and a Bank Draft for the full fee i.e. Rs. 24,125 in
the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable
at Dimapur must reach the Admissions Officer, The Global
Open University, Sodzulhou Village, P.O. - ARTC, NH-39,
Dimapur - 797115 Nagaland by speed post only.
Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 150 per paper is to be
paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations.
Master's Thesis : All students are required to submit
a Master's Thesis at the end of second year.
Assignments : All admitted participants must submit
subjectwise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to
be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the
